My daughter doesn’t often like wearing dresses or anything too ‘girly’. She is very active and prefers to wear tracksuit bottoms and hand-me-down T-shirts from her brother. I completely respect that. She does, however, like pink and purple so often will mix her favorite purple trackies or pink patchwork dungarees with a blue and red Nike top! It looks eclectic and cool in its own way, but admittedly not very smart.
Occasionally we have quite formal family events or special dinners to attend that need something more than tracksuit bottoms or dungarees but I’m struggling to find any smart girls’ outfits that aren’t too ‘girly’ (IYKWIM). Does anyone have any recommendations? She will sometimes happily agree to wear a dress in the summer but rarely in the winter as she hates the feeling of tights underneath.
I’d be grateful for any style tips! We tried jumpsuits for a while but they are a pain for bathroom visits as you have to take the whole thing off.
