Hand cream recommendations

NewYear24 · 23/01/2024 16:19

My hands are very dry and look old. I’ve recently had some skin cancer zapped off and this isn’t helping their appearance.
Any recommendations for hand cream including one that could be good to use over night? I’m not keen on the Vaseline type of greasy feeling ones.
Thank you.

Norwegian formula

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 23/01/2024 16:40

O'Keefe's

Not a cream but have you thought about a skin booster injection like profhilo. They are an injectable moisturiser and are good for hydration.

ThePoshUns · 23/01/2024 16:45

L'occitaine Shea butter

O'Keefe's

yes this or I also like the M&S floral range.i alternate.

Norwegian Formula 100% - the only thing to help when I had awfully dry and cracked hands. It’s not greasy or anything and isn’t ‘creamy’ so it absorbs very quickly

Another vote for O'Keefes

DrNo007 · 23/01/2024 17:04

Weleda skin food.

Dugs2010 · 23/01/2024 17:05

Cavilon. I got terrible chilblains one winter and was prescribed this. It's amazing- a skin barrier

MeMyBooksAndMyCats · 23/01/2024 17:05

Palmers coconut oil lotion. Swear by it, only thing that helps my dry hands/skin. Doesn't leave them feeling oily either.

Flossflower · 23/01/2024 17:21

Diprobase

Tisforptarmigan · 23/01/2024 17:22

I like the Aldi dupe of the L'Occitane cream (silver tube). It's 69p BrewSmile

JenniferJupiterVenusandMars · 23/01/2024 17:23

Atrixo, cheap and very effective.

fatbottomgirl67 · 23/01/2024 17:29

Bodyshop hemp hand cream is great. Non greasy and really helped my chapped up out doorsy hands

CrushingOnRubies · 23/01/2024 17:31

It's not the nicest smelling but atrixo does the trick. Has does Aveno intense moisturiser.

Get very dry hands due to the job I do

Festivalmitch · 23/01/2024 17:31

Weleda skin food, also the Weleda almond hand cream is amazing for dry/eczema prone skin. Both lovely

NewYear24 · 23/01/2024 17:31

This is great, thanks for all the suggestions.

Nursem is very nourishing and absorbs quickly.

Aesop Resurrection.
A bit expensive but:
It transforms my hands to those of a 20 yr old.
(I am not 20 and only a slight exaggeration)

And smells divine. I just I inhale it afterwards.

CrushingOnRubies · 23/01/2024 18:37

@Mrsjayy you can still get Atrixo on Amazon and I'm sure I saw it in my local Tesco recently

I've maybe just not noticed it.

Try a cheap eye cream - really hydrates your skin but soaks in much easier than hand cream so no greasy feeling at all. Makes my aging hands look much better.

LadyLolaRuben · 23/01/2024 18:42

The best is Burts Bees. Put it on your bedside table and apply just before you go to sleep. Waking up hands feel amazing
