They are considerably cheaper than the Boden pair I have been looking at. I’d be looking at buying them in the shortest length. Has anyone got them? If so what is the sizing like compared to Boden. I think these are part of the Per Una range.

I tried them on on Saturday. I couldn’t do them up!! I am carrying a few extra pounds but trousers in my size fit fine.

Britpopbaby · 22/01/2024 19:39

Ah so small sizing then?

I don't have the ones in the shops now but I got a pair of wide leg Per Una jeans a couple of years ago and they're lovely jeans. True to size and a nice soft material that doesn't dig in and isn't too stiff. They also don't go out of shape after a few hours of wearing them and have washed well. I've never had Boden jeans so can't compare sizes but I took the same size in them as I do everywhere else.

I have an offer for trousers in my sparks app so might just order them. I don’t really want to pay £90 for Boden jeans!

I think you’ll just have to try some on. I’m usually a 10-12 but these were a 12 and in M&S a 12 can be generous but Ive obviously put more on than I thought. There was no give at all in the denim.

Waterybrook · 22/01/2024 19:56

I find the sizes vary quite a lot. Inconsistent

WhereAreWeNow · 22/01/2024 21:32

I don't have those ones but in general I think M&S jeans are good. I've got the high waist mom jeans and some Per Una straight jeans. Both well cut, flattering and good, thick cotton. You might want to try on in store though as sizing is a bit hit and miss.

I bought a pair of the £35 dark denim ones at the weekend and will be returning. I’m a 10-12 (big bum, small waist) and there’s a big gap on the waistband. I also bought the regular length (I’m 165cm) and I think I’d trip over them when walking. Nice colour denim though.

Britpopbaby · 22/01/2024 21:41

I need the shortest length and so it would have to be an online purchase. I heals up the short length version and they were too long. They also didn’t have my size.

I’m 5ft and got the shortest size and needed them taking up.

Britpopbaby · 23/01/2024 05:04

@UnknownFemale01 ah no! I think the issue with having jeans taken up for me is that unless it’s by the Levi’s store where they take Levi’s jeans up is that they just look odd and wrong.

They've changed all the lengths recently so look out for that.

Britpopbaby · 23/01/2024 08:16

@PPTorPDF I know! I am just wondering if old stock will still be mingling with the newer stock.

I found the sizing in the M&S collection high waisted wide leg jeans v inconsistent even in the “same” size. When I bought mine last year I tried several in “my” size before getting a good fit - one 14 was too big, while another 14 barely did up. After buying online and returning, I had to go in store and try on what was there. Didn’t have any problems with their other denim styles.

LentilFaculties · 23/01/2024 12:38

Had some a couple of years ago (and have had generally good experience with m&S jeans) but didn't keep.

These were a gorgeous soft but strong material but the shape was a surprise. I choose high waisted simply because my waist is high on my body and I generally need to accentuate it in order to not look huge. These were cut for very slim hipped, straight up and down people. Absolutely no room for hips or bums. Had to size up lots but then the waist was baggy which looks wrong when it's high.

BaconAndAvocado · 23/01/2024 15:48

I'm 5' 5" which to me is very much an average height, but M and S short jeans are perfect in length!

Movinghouseatlast · 23/01/2024 15:50

They are great jeans. I've got the Boden equivalent and there is no difference at all. Mine aren't Per Una though I don't think.

Chrispackhamspoodle · 23/01/2024 19:26

I had a pair.My 16y year old stole them.Got another pair.My 15 year old stole them.I now have the autograph wide legged jeans. Both jeans are brilliant.Even teenagers like them.Bought my usual size 8.
