1st day of wedding dress shopping- already mad!

i went in several shops- am completely out of ideas.

one shop told me i was an unusual size (i'm size 14 and 5'3 in high-ish heels) and would find it difficult. i'm not looking for anything frou-frou and would rather it was pink (nice pink, not jordan pink)

can anyone help me with good websites, good shops (in manchester/cheshire) or just general advice? thanks

This sort of thing?
This (possibly a bit Come Dancing)
This
All from this page.

But at the prices. Do you have a budget in mind?

i liked them, but you are right about the prices! the first one is very nice if a bit too plain maybe, but exactly the right pink

thanks

Not strictly a wedding dress, but depending on formality of the dress you want this monsoon one is at the other end of the price scale.

JackieNo · 19/03/2008 19:05

Found that first one cheaper

JackieNo · 19/03/2008 19:05

(or is it the same one?) Not sure now.

How about something like this where you can choose the colour of the underskirt etc.

luminarphrases · 19/03/2008 19:08

its in a hotel for the ceremony, then a marquee in (posh auntie's) garden for after, so really it can be as formal/informal as we decide. the monsoon one is nice but looks like it is maybe a bit long for me. i didn't even think of monsoon today, but will look next time im in town

oh i like the changing underskirt thing- nice and subtle and the tea rose colour is perfect, can't see a price tho

YOu have to click on the 'price code legend' link - one bell apparently means 'under £599'.

JackieNo · 19/03/2008 19:17

Looks like you can do the same with all of these (choose the colour of various bits), but they vary in price.

luminarphrases · 19/03/2008 19:21

oh yeh- didn't see that. under 599's not far off the sort of amount we were planning on, so that's ace
