Any remedies for a very itchy jumper?

I've bought a new jumper I really love... (will try to link).. but it is very itchy. contents are 40% alpaca, 32% wool, 24% polyamide.

Is there anything I can do about it or should I send it back?

I don't like itchy jumpers so my advice is buy a very soft thin T Shirt to wear underneath to keep the jumper away from your skin , or send it back.

Long sleeve top underneath it.

If you do want to try the long sleeved top underneath route, M&S's HeatGen Light tops are lovely and thin. And you'd certainly be warm 😄.

Glycerin in the rinsing water usually works .

How do you put glycerin in the rinsing water?

l have an ASD Dd. Shes allergic to polyester. She bought a very expensive cotton jumper. She won’t wear it since it’s been washed as it’s ‘scratchy’

Ive tried everything!

I've tried all sorts but IME, no. I stick to cashmere, merino or 100% cotton for knits now.

I had a beautiful mohair. Is cardi which is wearable but bought jumper in same range and it had to go back

Looked fab but I knew it would irritate me

Put some a couple of teaspoons of glycerin in water and use in final rinse .

put it in a plastic bag and stick it in the freezer overnight. It works!

You just put a couple of teaspoons in the water leave jumper in it for a few minutes then spin again .

Send it back.

Ah, thank you all. it is packaged up ready to go back. But if any of you would like it, it is now reduced and is very nice (& itchy!) ;)
