Oil, butter, cream or something else for moisturizer?

I'm getting into properly moisturising my whole body, because I've lost a lot of weight and taken up walking so I find it's nice to relax my muscles and hopefully get my skin in condition. But what's the best product to use for this? Anyone got any recommendations? I've been using a (rather old) soap and glory body cream which is nice. Anyone got a recommendation for me? (Especially if there's anything that has good properties for muscle recovery/skin condition as well as a nice smell!)

It depends what the skin condition is!

I like oil after a bath or shower in the evening but it can be a bit much in the morning.

I love the body shop coconut body butter but it's pretty thick.

The skin itself is basically fine neither dry nor oily but a bit slack from the weight loss.

My friend swore by Nivea Q10 for this same thing
