Fur coats - where to sell?

Hi
I've inherited some nice real fur coats from the past 50 odd years - last was bought early 80s and I've insurance valuation for it costing £1900 in early 80s
Obvs the market has dropped out but these are nice coats in a decent "average" size of about a UK 12.
I don't want to get into a debate of real fur vs faux but I noticed some young girls wearing fur-style fabric jackets in the cold weather yday and wondered if there was a market anyone knew of other than ebay/vinted/facebook marketplace as they will be ££ to post as very bulky?

There were some in a local auction. The sort of auction house that sells paintings, jewellery and furniture. I don’t know what they sold for though, (lots of fox fur stoles with the heads and tails on) but I presume they would sell to a specialist dealer. So you could try contacting a local auction house and they should be able to give you some idea of what they would sell for.
If your furs are very specialist (ie not rabbit) then you may want to contact one of the larger auction houses that have sales dedicated to vintage fashion.
The other option would be to look online for dealers selling second hand furs and contact them directly to see if they would be interested in buying them from you.

I had a few inherited, good ones like mink. I ended up sending them to charity shops as I just couldn’t find anywhere that would buy them.

They're often sold at Vintage Fairs/Weekends...I've seen them for sale at places like Haworth 1940s Weekend, East Lancs Railway 1940s Weekend, Goodwood Revival etc. There used to be a permanent vintage shop in the centre of Haworth that sold them but I'm not sure if it's still there.
