Barbie Themed Dress-Up

Morning All,

my younger sisters hen night is on the horizon and she's having a Barbie themed weekend. We are polar opposites of each other, so this is stressing me out already😊I would love some suggestions for something suitable to wear. I was thinking of something to do with Skipper, Barbie's sister. It has to be nice and dressy but comfortable (I'm like an old dinosaur next to the younger gang😂

Maybe you could do one of the career Barbie's or the famous women Barbie's? Like scientist Barbie, or astronaut Barbie?

I would go as weird barbie that's right up my street but there are so many non girly pink options with barbie

Basically it’s all in the hat and bag (white wide brimmed and little white briefcase) so you can ditch those bits when the party gets going. Assuming you don’t want to spend hundreds if it’s not your usual look🤣

For Skipper - Jeans (obviously) and a lumberjack shirt…so maybe some glam plaid which you could wear with a LBD/ jeans and a cool shirt?
(also just found a lovely sequin dress, a slightly more hippy option if you’re into that sort of vibe, and a bargain pink suit - can you tell I like this theme 😂)

I would def go with either classic or career barbie or or skipper.

Google the dolls and recreate the outfit with charity shop/vinted finds.

Or if your sister really wound expect it of you go all out and surprise her with full on barbie glam. Sometimes it's good to go out of your comfort zone.

We did this years ago -we had pre menstrual Barbie , menopause Barbie and harassed mum Barbie along side all of the glamour versions

Go as My First Barbie from the 80s. White short dress and pink belt.
