Why are all the jeans high waisted?

Because if you are apple shaped this is rubbish. I carry weight on my waist but my thighs bum and legs are slim, so if the jeans fit me on the waist they are baggy every where else 🙁does anyone know of a brand that are not high waisted ?

I am finding lots more mid and low rises around at the moment, the tyranny of the high waist seems to have lessened with the fall in popularity of the skinny. Which is good as I hate high waisted jeans, am also an Apple and I get bad bloating.

A lot of the current jeans are looser shapes so they aren't meant to cling to the bum/legs/hips particularly. These days you have to work out both the shape you want and your rise, then you can just try a google search.

I'd suggest H&M, Levis, Gap, Hush, New Look, River Island, Esprit, Vero Moda. Possibly Next. I find M&S which gets recommended a lot for jeans on here always have far too high rises, there doesn't seem to be any variety with theirs.

I used to have to get some of my jeans and trousers from eBay as there were so few lower rises around.

I find high waisted more flattering. They sit above the belly so work for me. Low waisted look awful.

I do enjoy a good old low waist/high waist argument I'm very much team high waist - it's not so much about the look as about comfort.

I'm currently trying to talk myself into a pair of old Gap Long n' Leans I've just dug out again. I like them so much but there's this permanent feeling that they're about to fall down and an icy blast up my back whenever I lean forward. How I put up with them last time around I will never know.

Anyway to try and answer the op, I'd go the second hand route if I were you. I'm always trying on what I think are bargains in the charity shop only to realise they barely cover the arse crack.
