Shoes like these for the summer

I am a big fan of Fitflop's eloise because the offer height which I need plus comfort which I need even more. My only issue is that I don't have the best feet and I don't enjoy looking after my toenails, so I was wondering if there's similar closed toe shoes I could try. I won't wear anything lower in terms of height and it needs to be more platformy than wedgy if that makes any sense. I thought perhaps there are some brands I am not aware of that I could try. My budget is up to £150. Thanks!!

They're too 'wedgy' for my liking

I like closed toe espadrilles too but the only place out of Spain where I've found platform ones ( keeping your feet essentially on the same level/ flat, so comfy but with height) is Sosander where I bought such a pair in a lovely taupey suede a year or two back. Too scared to check to see if they still do them as I love them.

EvelynBeatrice · 16/01/2024 13:29

Noooo. It looks like they don't have the lower wedge/ platform ones now.

ChinaInYourHands · 17/01/2024 10:07

The Revolve ones are way too wedgy
The others I like, but they're way too low, I want (need) some extra height and be comfortable at the same time.

Have you tried Castener?

EvelynBeatrice · 24/01/2024 20:13

Did you have any luck? Maybe search using term ‘flat form’ too

ChinaInYourHands · 25/01/2024 07:13

I haven't found anything that is at least 7cm high, not too wedgy and covers toes. 😔

and I don't enjoy looking after my toenails

Could you treat yourself to the occasional pedicure?

ChinaInYourHands · 26/01/2024 05:09

Yeah, @inappropriateportioncontrol, way too wedgy.
@RampantIvy, I can't think of anything worse! 😁
I'm a pain, I know.

No - it’s just you’re looking for the holy grail - comfy, closed toe, elegant with some height. Suspect you’d find what you want in Spain. U.K. shoes dire!

ChinaInYourHands · 27/01/2024 17:36

Hmmm @Searchingformystyle. Yeah they've got the height and cover they toes, but I wouldn't wear plastic shoes in the summer, or pay that kind of money for plastic shoes!

The others are kind of similar but look way more comfortable and at least they're leather, but I'd like more than 5cm.

Are platform crocs too casual?

ChinaInYourHands · 28/01/2024 08:48

I wear platfrom crocs at home but no, I wouldn't wear them out and about. The Hasbeens are lovely and I have actually had Hasbeens in the past, but they're not comfortable enough for everyday wear and the heel profile is too smart for me; I'd wear that with a dress to a nice dinner maybe.

Exactly what you want will be in Dune in a few months.
