Dry nails - anything you've found that works?

I occasionally do my own UV nails that stay on for about a week. Maybe I have them 1 in 5 weeks?

The rest of the time I am 'au naturel' apart from the very occasional use of real nail varnish when I cba with the gel.

I've noticed recently my nails look and feel really dry and are getting more ridged.

I'm trying to get into a nightly hand cream routine that's not making any noticeable difference so far - but is there anything else I could do to improve them? I've read about cuticle oil? Any other wonder products? Particular supplements that you've found help?

I'm happy with my diet, just started HRT, take vit D, glucosamine, magnesium and a multi vit.

I take L-Tyrosine. It doesn't suit everyone (can cause headaches) but it is brilliant for stronger hair and nails.

Recently been told about Biotin and am going to try that instead as it has similar effect.

Definitely supplements work better than creams, though rbiing sweet almond oil on them helps a bit.

Essie apricot cuticle oil is brilliant. I use it twice a day, with a good layer of hand cream on top. It has transformed my dry nails and cuticles
