Do not go to TS if you are large of nork

H&M ok.

windygalestoday · 18/03/2008 15:31

lol last thing i bought in top shop was ......ski pants (for everyday wear)im soooooooo old lol

Buda · 18/03/2008 15:47

I like H&M too. Great kids clothes. All my friends get their maternity stuff there. And they even have a range for us fatties. It can be a bit hit and miss but some bits are ok.

Have to drive to the one in Vienna for that though. For some reason the new H&Ms here don't stock it. H&M obv think Austrians are fat and Hungarians are not!

brimfull · 18/03/2008 16:37

great accessories in h&m

I'm too fat for their stuff i think.

MamaG · 18/03/2008 16:40

I've LOVED H&M for years.

I get the most "ooh taht looks nice" and "where did you get that skirt" etc comments when wearing H&M

Agree with Sheik, HATE topshop

CrackerOfNuts · 18/03/2008 16:41

I used to love it, but ours was recently done up and is now shite.

For starters they moved the kids stuff upstairs and there is now lots less choice , the boys dept is about 10 times smaller than the girls.

I hardley ever even go in there now, nevermind buy anything from there.

YouKnowNothingOfTheCrunch · 18/03/2008 16:54

I love H&M, there is no bloody shopping anywhere near where I live

Is it too much to ask for one enormous H&M and an equally gargantuan TweakyMax in the tiny seaside town of Whitby?! Is it?!

I'll live vicariously through mnet instead...

droopytits · 18/03/2008 17:03

i like H&M too - real good bargains.

But....I am more concerned about you cod...2 tank tops? A style icon like you?!

minko · 18/03/2008 18:01

I bought a great blouse today in H+M. I was a bit shocked that my usual size 14 was v. tight and what actually fitted was their size 18. I am officially a heifer...

Great clothes though, I really enjoyed myself. Got a blouse, a pea coat thingy, 2 t-shirty tops and a jumper dress and all for £63! I don't usually shop there for myself (the kids dept. is great though), so was quite surprised that I liked their stuff.

champagnesupernova · 18/03/2008 18:22

GermaineSneer · 18/03/2008 18:28

MrsMills · 18/03/2008 18:38

There are 43 H&M stores in Stockholm

FoghornLeghorn · 18/03/2008 18:43

Absolutely love H&M for kids stuff

FrannyandZooey · 18/03/2008 18:45

I did huge trawl down Oxford st for maternity clothes last month

H+M only place worth going - Topshop maternity stuff ABSOLUTELT DREADFUL - don't think designers had ever seen a pg woman let alone been pg themselves
funnily enough I did not feel like buying:
a shiny clingy jersey dress
a dress with a big belt in the middle (to wear above your bump??? )
a bright orange swing cardigan

SheikYerboutisEggHunt · 18/03/2008 18:48

Oh yes, Topshop maternity clothes are boakworthy.

I looked at them when pg with DS2. I had crippling spd and the maternirty stuff was upstairs in our local store. I got all the way up thete and it was a big let-down, so me and my creaky pelvis went back downstairs and I cried.

When I was pregnant with DS1, there was only Mothercare to buy stuff from., and it was rank.

GermaineSneer · 18/03/2008 18:55

43?

wow

OP posts:
EffiePerine · 18/03/2008 18:58

I found nothing but a black jumper on my last viist (then again I am NOT wearing orange or lime green ever again). Zara have some really nice stuff in at the moment, including cheapo bright cotton V-necks

OverMyDeadBody · 18/03/2008 19:06

link to this tank top thing please?

I'm a veteran H&Mer. Far better than topshop.

GermaineSneer · 18/03/2008 19:06

is htere a website?
i cna only find norwegian stuff

OP posts:
OverMyDeadBody · 18/03/2008 19:08

they don't have a website?!

That's lost them points then. Norweigan tank top will do fine.

OverMyDeadBody · 18/03/2008 19:09

how would one wear said tank top? Over a shirt? on its own? (but then what about arms?)
