HELP - QUICK - You've got an hour to change my life!!

Right, I've got a hair appointment at 3pm. I've got boring dark hair - kind of on the shoulders with a fringe (think Ugly Betty) and want to get it all chopped off (think the red haired one from Sex and the City).

Any ideas - pictures - links. There's not a hair mag in the house and I need inspiration to take to my appt!

My hairdresser's fab and I'm having my colours done as well - usually brown base and red highlights.

What do you look like?
what shaped face do you have?
What sort of image are you trying to project?
Is your hair naturally dead straight?

poo

I've got a fat face, big nose, blue eyes and freckles (oh yes I'm a looker...). Have really enjoyed having long hair for the last 4 years and then had it cut shorter last time and now want to have something more dramatic!

I'd need a bit of length at the sides I think - can't get away with an Annie Lennox-type cut...

how about this sort of thing?

CountessDracula · 18/03/2008 13:45

or if you wanted the "I am a complete twat" look you could go for this

CountessDracula · 18/03/2008 13:47

my colleague has this sort of thing and it looks great (she is not so grumpy looking though}

Dottydot · 18/03/2008 13:50

ooh I like the third one! Maybe a tiny bit shorter..?

Haven't told dp of my hair removal plans - she will possibly go a bit bonkers...

Does she like your ugly betty look then

Dottydot · 18/03/2008 13:51

It's more that she doesn't Do change - an inch off every six months would be OK, but the whole lot off in one go - tricky..!

Yes I can understand that

Dottydot · 18/03/2008 14:18

Well - thanks for coming to my rescue - am heading off for hair overhaul in the next 10 mins!

how did it go dotty? Are you revamped now?

Dottydot · 18/03/2008 19:39

OMG it's fab!! Am sooooo pleased! I've been growing my hair for 4 years and it was OK but is really fine. It's now a fab red/brown colour and is very short at the back and slightly longer at the front - all choppy and glam!

Of course I'll never get it to look like this in the morning

Well done sounds gorgeous! And did DP approve?!

Dottydot · 20/03/2008 19:56

Kind of... She's getting used to it!
