I need a new jumper. I like to buy quality over quantity. I dislike man made fibres, so no polyester / nylon / acrylic. I like proper shoulder lines, not the dropped sleeve. I prefer a boxy or a line fit, nothing tight around the hip area. Nothing too voluminous, or bulky.

I like blue, purple, dusky or jewel colours, black, navy.

Any help appreciated.

Following! I like Brora for all of the above but they are so expensive!

I've got fussy in old age and only like cashmere - www.chintiandparker.com/, jumper1234.com/, and www.purecollection.com/ are my faves.

Also i have a Celtic and Co Geelong wool jumper I love and have been wearing for 2 years non stop

@ZoeyBartlett I agree it’s hard to go back once you’ve got used to cashmere! I’m currently wearing a woolovers crew neck jumper which is fine but their colours are a bit crap I find. This one is a nice teal but ideally I’d prefer softer more subtle farrow and ball type colours where you aren’t quite sure if it’s purple or grey etc

Look at the Toast sale, wool cashmere blend

TippiHedrin · 11/01/2024 20:40

Uniqlo mens cashmere crew neck would tick a lot of your boxes. Size down from what you'd get in women's.

Have a look at Woolovers. Think you’ll find something you like. All natural fibres, lambs wool, cashmere mix etc & much cheaper than Brora & other high end cashmere.

Love that. It just looks a bit snug around the hips.

Studio Nicholson has a sale on at the moment - whatever’s left will probably be good value. The jumpers they sold pre-Covid (after which quality fell down everywhere) are some of my most worn clothes.

Try Massimo Dutti? I think they have knitwear in the fit you are after. It is possible to spend a lot there if you want to, but even their 95% wool 5% cashmere stuff is nice and quite well priced. Sometimes the colours are good sometimes not. The men's knits often come in more colours - but then it's a men's fit which you may not want. Good luck in your search!

Genevieve Sweeney has beautiful jumpers if they are within your budget.

Sezane's Barry or Gaspard cardigans can be worn as jumpers
