What vans slip ons would you buy?

I recently passed my driving test but I didn’t change my shoes throughout learning so I can only drive in a pair of vans slip ons!

Anything else and I can’t feel the bite of clutch properly.

I will start to mix it up, but whilst I get my confidence solo- can someone advise me on what vans slip ons they would buy which would work as a neutral for many outfits? I usually wear a lot of beige, cream, sage green and denim.

I have some leopard print ones which are great, but look strange if I am wearing clashing prints. They are also quite tatty!

Black looks a little bit orthopaedic for some reason, but maybe you can convince me otherwise. I think they would be the most neutral. Perhaps the black with the white sole is better?

I'd get the black, they are the neatest.

Solid black and white remind me of school plimsoles

Ive got a pair of b&w checkerboard which actually go with a lot of outfits, especially if you wear fairly neutral colours

Vans slip-ons are just toooo reminiscent of my school days, I'd get the Sk8-His instead. More practically, why don't you just keep a pair of Vans in the car for driving and change into the shoes you want to wear when you get to your destination? And also practice in different shoes obviously - I learned to drive a bit older and I remember the anxiety, but you'll be fine! I can drive in chunky boots now no bother

I have been doing this, but it’s faff to change if the weather is bad. I have a really small car. I also like wearing trainers.

i just want another pair of comfortable driving shoes to add to my wardrobe

do the sk8-his have the same sole?

@2fast2upset Yeah mine do, the sort of tan grid sole? If you're set on slip-ons, I think the pink and white checkerboard would be nice with the colours you describe wearing.

I have lace up suede ones rather than slip on. They have the same sole I believe, tan grid pattern.
Mine are olive greenish but they can look either dark grey or khaki brown depending on light/what I'm wearing them with.
They have become my staple shoes and they look fine with navy, grey, black, beige, green and denim so I think would look good with your colours.
Mine were an absolute steal in the sale, if there's still one on.
