Nail strips… life changing or a load of rubbish?

I’ve seen them advertised all over the place. Seems they are semi-cured and you just stick them on and cure them under a nail like to harden them then cut to length. Then supposedly are easy to remove without damaging nails and they last a couple of weeks.

anyone tried them? What type/brand? They seem too good to be true

Yes they are great! So tidy and quick.

Yesss revolutionary for me as my nails were so sensitive to nail polish remover…

In my opinion they aren’t meant for long term, 7-14 days or so. Best to put them on late at night so they properly stick to your nails overnight.

They are little hit/miss when showering but washing up/cleaning or lighter ‘water’ tasks are genuinely ok. I’ve ordered from various places, amazon was a bit hit/miss i’ve been impressed by the Miss Sophie range they seem a better quality than those from amazon which were thin/flimsy ane didn’t file as well. You can order a starter kit from Miss Sophie. I think the shop Douglas sells them as well…

Warm soapy water to remove them or some packs come with a remover solution which i actually haven’t tried as warm soapy water or warm water with olive oil has worked a treat.

I think its still worth taking a break once in a while and letting your nails breath for a few days.

But i love them! So many designs you can choose from too and they are much neater than painted nails or those horrendous long fake talons (personal opinion of course) 😌

I'm interested in these too.
Can they act as extensions or do they just cover the length of your natural nail?

There's a 60+ post thread running on nail wraps. They seem to have taken off. I asked about them on S&B a while ago and got a tumbleweed.

I've used Holy Grail Nail standard wraps and I love them. I'm using an Avon top coat as I had a bottle to use up. I'll likely purchase the Holy Grail top coat the next time I order more wraps.
They're £3.99 a pack and will easy last a week, probably longer if you're more careful.
