If so, what type of cut?

I have fine hair and have a fringe. I used to have a full fringe but it looked a bit bulky so now have a bit of a split fringe.
For a long time I had a side fringe but looking back at pictures, it just looked quite flat and made me look almost balding on one side 😂

It’s not a great idea as it’ll make your hair look very thin if you’re cutting a good chunk of it into a fringe. I have a fringe but I compensate by having extensions in the sides

I have fairly thin, fine hair and have a fringe. It isn’t a chunky thick fringe, it’s deliberately a bit wispy/feathered at the ends and not too much hair in it or I’d have none left. Rest of my hair is a sort of lob.

These images show the general idea (mine is more like the left hand one I think)

To cut in a fringe takes hair from elsewhere on the head leaving thin hair even thinner. It doesn't look great imo.
