Hi, all - I have just bought a No7 skincare gift set massively reduced, but have no real idea of how to use the products! Was hoping there would be some instructions but they all have individual instructions that don't seem to 'talk' to each other...

If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated!

Pics attached of products and descriptions.

Thank you ☺️

Day cream in the day
Serum at night then night cream on top of that
Eye cream obvious

Can't see what the other things are sorry

SevenKingsMustDie · 05/01/2024 21:18

Thank you - the obvious ones are easy as you say, but retinol and the oil...,I can't work out how to add them to the obvious routine!

The retinol should have been supplied with instructions. I bought it recently and received a leaflet

Stressybetty · 05/01/2024 21:24

Do they still do the free no 7 consultations in boots? I found it really useful. Was told not to use retinol as well. They would explain the products to you as well. They weren't at all pushy on selling either.

Paw2024 · 05/01/2024 21:24

I would do

Day
Serum then day cream

Evening
Retinol then wait a bit and then apply night cream
Don't use the retinol every evening to start and when not using it do the serum and oil or oil and night cream

Eye cream am and pm

Also if you search and go to each product page you'll get a proper description and usage

I use facial oil when my skin is feeling particularly dry or dehydrated so not very often but I do use it and my skin likes it

Your skin skin might get dry when using the retinol in which is probably why it's been added

SevenKingsMustDie · 06/01/2024 10:12

Thanks everyone - great advice, so will follow @Paw2024 's suggested regime, and add in the oil when feeling particularly dry.

The retinol did come with an instruction leaflet, so I tried that last night and will gradually build up as suggested.

Fingers crossed for glowing, healthy looking skin! 😂🤞🏻

But do you use serum and cream as well. I can’t figure out when to use all the other products either.

CeriB82 · 06/01/2024 19:46

I only have the oil.

i use:

Cerave wash every other day, then micellar water.

Nivea eye makeup remover

pixi toner

youthfull oil & vit c serum

cerave moisturiser. Im 49, seriously menopausal but my skin has never been better

CeriB82 · 06/01/2024 19:47

I would get in the habit of using all of them

SevenKingsMustDie · 06/01/2024 20:53

@Iwishiwasasilentnight I'm glad it's not just me! 😂

@CeriB82 but how? In what order? In which combination? That's what I was trying to work out with this thread..

@Iwishiwasasilentnight I'm glad it's not just me! 😂

I was going to start a thread asking the same thing.

SilverShadowNight · 06/01/2024 21:19

I use a few drops of the oil after cleansing, then a few drops of the serum and then the day/night cream. I have very dry skin otherwise though.

CeriB82 · 06/01/2024 21:33

Ah right!

I would start with oil, serum, eye cream then moisturiser.

unsure about the retinol as i have never used it
