Any waxers here? Ingrown hairs- help!

Hi all
So like the hero that I think I am I got my legs waxed on 23/12. Now I usually shave- never have any problems.
However after this wax (full leg might I add!) The hairs are starting to grow and my goodness the itching is driving me insane! It's itchy- it burns- almost hurts to a degree. Red dots where the hairs are sprouting back up. However the issue I'm having is alot of the hairs are growing under the skin. Which is making it worse. What's the best way to release these without having to sit there and do individual with a pair of tweezers. Even so I couldn't get the ones on the backs of my legs.
I've exfoliated every other day. Used a exfoliating glove and moisturised too. I can't seem to get the ones already trapped under out! Will they eventually come out?
Thanks in advance!

I use a salicylic acid lotion every few days and it works - I use the cheapest one I can find.

years ago there was a product especially for this called tend skin which was brilliant but you can't get it anymore. Anyway the active ingredient was salicylic acid.

also I use it on my upper arms as well to for strawberry bumpy skin and it works a treat!

I'm afraid I waxed for 30 years and never got the ingrown hairs under control. Nor did the hair die off.
I ended up buying a Phillips lumea and zapping the damn things into oblivion. Took just over a year to work.

Thanks guys. I've got some salicylic acid pads - I'll give that a go. The ones that are already under the skin are literally on fire!

Did the pads work for you? I’m having a similar issue after epilating.

@newusern99 I ended up getting some Ingrown Go from amazon and the ordinary glycolic acid. Between them both I got some relief and they went. It was a nightmare and I need to wax again but going to try a different waxer!
