I hate wearing make up but need a little something to even out skin tone a bit, and to help stop my oily skin looking shiny.
I used to use Temple Spa Velvelluto face base. It was truly miraculous stuff, and almost life changing when I discovered it. It was an extremely fine pressed powder, made in Italy. So fine it went on like velvet. I wore it on it's own - it gave really good coverage but looked so natural. It didn't sit in my pores or in fine lines (I'm 50), and it lasted all day, keeping shine at bay. So easy to apply, with just a compact sponge. Perfect for someone who doesn't want to faff around with make up.
I was absolutely gutted when it was discontinued a couple of years ago. I'm sick of wasting money trying other pressed powders. So many of them look cakey/powdery, and emphasise pores and fine lines. Or they have no coverage or staying power. I also find many of them "clump" where my spectacles sit on my nose.
As I don't use any other make up, there's no real budget - if I could find something as good as the Velvelluto I'd happily pay whatever it costs. It's got to be a pressed powder, I don't get on with loose powder.
Any recommendations, for something fine and velvetty, that gives good coverage and doesn't sit in pores or fine lines? Does it exist?!
