It's my 40th birthday later this month. I have a sneaking suspicion that my husband is throwing me a surprise party this weekend, but I'm not certain. He's said that he has 'tickets to something' but I suspect there will be other people joining us or it might all be a ruse and there is a party. I asked him if I should wear a nice dress and he said yes, but I got the sense that it shouldn't be a super dressy kind of thing, more something nice that would be ok in a pub as well.
I was thinking maybe something like the below... The long sleeves make it feel a bit less dressy but it's still sparkly and special, it's kind of below mid thigh so not super short. Thought I could wear it with black tights and black boots, but I'm not great at this kind of thing...! Thoughts?!
