100% polyester, absolutely not

ArcticBells · 30/12/2023 16:57

Lovely but agree it's a pity about the fabric

TokyoSushi · 30/12/2023 17:01

They're lovely designs but the material means that they're actually quite cheap looking and even in the shop some are frayed a bit!

Doggymummar · 30/12/2023 17:03

I sold some of these in Vinted as they were not pleasant to wear as synthetic, they look nice though

HamstersAreMyLife · 30/12/2023 17:03

I love them but wouldn't pay full price. I got something very similar from tkmaxx for about £12!

dontgobaconmyheart · 30/12/2023 17:19

Not sure who the 'we' is here but I personally don't think it's anything special. The vibe is more New Look/Primark to me than it is Sezane - the lighter and brighter colours in particular look pretty poor and I hate that arm elastic.

Meanoldlady · 30/12/2023 17:56

I love them, including the very unmumsnetty metallic designs.
My style would be best described as 80s landlady minus the cleavage so I wouldn't be seen dead in Seasalt, Toast or other things that seem to be much loved here.

Life's much better when you dress to make yourself happy.

PieAndLattes · 30/12/2023 17:59

Primark sell tonnes of blouses in that fabric. You could probably pick up something similar there for a third of the price.

saturnspinkhoop · 30/12/2023 18:04

I have a couple but I haven’t paid full price. I bought them as I wanted a different look to wearing t-shirts all the time. One of the shirts I regret a bit as the fabric feels a bit cheap and nasty.

SylvieLaufeydottir · 30/12/2023 18:24

The fabric looks cheap and poor even in the pro shots, tbh.

FlyingCherub · 30/12/2023 18:27

I got a couple of dresses in the summer and sent them straight back. Design lovely, fabric utterly horrible and cheap looking.

LadyWithLapdog · 30/12/2023 18:49

I like the design. I saw a similar lacey neck on Lucy Worsley the other evening (presenting about Sherlock Holmes, might be an old one) and was admiring that.

Littleguggi · 30/12/2023 20:14

If it wasn't for the fabric I'd buy them! I did buy one a couple of years ago which was actually cotton and it had a beautiful embroidered floral pattern on it!

PuffyShirt · 30/12/2023 20:17

I think they look cheap, plus 100% polyester? Yuck.

Gherkingreen · 30/12/2023 20:19

They do some 100% cotton tops I'm sure, but haven't tried them. I love the design and colours but the cheap fabric puts me off. Maybe try Vinted for a cheaper test?

NeverStopTwinkling · 30/12/2023 20:25

I like the way the look and polyester doesn't particularly concern me. I like the designs of Love and Roses, I'm always drawn to them if I'm browsing Next.

I seem to be a bit of a lone voice!

ThePoshUns · 30/12/2023 20:27

I've got a lovely floral one from them, I really like the fit on it and have had lots of compliments when I wore it.

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 30/12/2023 20:33

I have the green one and I really like it. I'm not usually a blouse person at all.

Me too!

Creepybookworm · 30/12/2023 20:50

I like some of the bright, patterned ones and have one which is a couple of years old. The fabric is no worse than others I have seen which are more expensive. It's worn well.

LuckyLerwick · 30/12/2023 20:53

I love them and have three in different colours - Green, black and navy. They are nice and light to wear at work (over a cami/vest) without overheating, I really like the piecrust collar detail on some of them and they wash and wear beautifully. I know they are polyester but I can't risk nicer fabrics at work as they could get damaged. I get lots of compliments about them from customers, too.

Giraff3 · 30/12/2023 20:58

I really like them and suit my colour pallet. I have them in baby pink, cream, sage green and colbat blue. Got them from vinted for fraction of the shop price.

CharlotteRumpling · 30/12/2023 22:29

La Redoute does Sezanne type blouses in decent cotton. I have a couple.

GlasgowGal82 · 30/12/2023 23:14

I'm not keen on that style from Love and Roses because they're 100% polyester which I think looks cheap and I don't find it comfortable to wear. I do have a couple of 100% viscose blouses from their range in print fabric, which I like to wear but they've not held their colour very well and they're a pain to iron!

Zooeyzo · 30/12/2023 23:55

Love and roses reminds me of oasis/warehouse
