I'm naturally dark brown
I have been getting a t section highlights
I'm nearly 40
Do I stay this colour or go back dark brown
Don't know if the dark brown will be too harsh for me now

It’s hard to know without seeing
your complexion, but generally hair looks really healthy and refreshed if you go back a shiny conker colour - just be prepared for it to fade if it’s bleach underneath

Can’t see your complexion so no idea

use some instagram filters to play around and share with your friends - impossible to say without seeing your eyes and skin

Without seeing your skin it's impossible to know, but I'm very jealous of how well your layers are sitting.

Where are you at with grey hair how to you feel about grey hair? would be my question as the darker your hair the more your roots could contrast

I’ve just gone back dark brown after years of blonde then red (natural dark brunette).
was worried it wouldn’t suit me as I’m in my 50s now but I love it, wish I’d done it sooner.

Well my very dark dyed hair - inherited the very early grey gene - started to look a bit harsh even in my late twenties. If your hair is mostly still naturally dark, it might look okay. I suspect the lighter color will be a lot more flattering though.
