Growing hair challenge 2024

I'm doing all I can to try and grow my hair long again next year. Does anyone want to join and update each other for motivation?

I'm blonde (not natural) and last summer I over-processed it so had loads of breakage. It was in such an unhealthy condition. At the moment it's just past my shoulders, but the front parts are all broken. My hair grows quite quickly, but it's retaining it that's been an issue so I'm trying to get it healthy again!

I could have written this word for word.

I want to grow it to just above my boobs for a wedding we're going to in the summer, so that I can curl it Grin

I had extensions put in just at the sides to hide broken bits. I want to grow mine again next year

I have been following the blow out professor on YouTube. He has some great hair growth tips and his method has really worked for me. Hoping for a few more inches next year!

@HotChocolateWithCointreau I'm also using a friend's wedding as motivation!

@Rattai Thats a good idea, do you feel more confident with them in? I've only ever used clip ins (talking 12 years ago now)!

@gaggiagirl Oooh ill check this out thanks!

I've been using rosemary oil the past couple of months and using very little heat. Looking back at old photos the last time I grew it long it took about a year and it was 2020-2021 so I think lockdowns and tying it back/doing little with it must have helped. I'm soooooo impatient though and checking length constantly. I'll put some photos from August when I first started taking care of it to now. It hasn't got much longer but it feels fuller.

Have you thought about changing the colour? You look quite dark naturally so all that bleach is going to make it look fragile and broken.

I do feel more confident ... they are such a good match for my own hair i forget they are there now!

You can use a satin bonnet at night for long hair, look for one for dreadlocks im white but I use them.

Id get some Aveda damage remedy and Aveda dry oil on it, colouring as you get older the hair doesn’t seem to cope as well. Everyone I’ve known who colours blonde has gone steadily shorter as they got older to deal with the damage.
