‘Clean’ waterproof mascara - am I asking too much?

I’ve made more of an effort to clean up my make up/skin care products in the last year. Less plastic, less toxic ingredients etc.

The one product I’ve struggled with is mascara. I’ve bought one that is refillable, but I’ve found it really badly smudges (I walk a lot and wear glasses so end up weirdly sweaty around the eye area!)

Ive been on a hunt for an alternative, waterproof one but not had much luck. Does anyone know of any products that fit my brief? Or should I just go back to my old favourite Clinique?

I think there's a Rimmel range that is vegan/clean ,it's in blue packaging.
