Alternative to Clinique Take the Day Off

I was given this a while ago and after it sitting in my drawers for ages, I decided to give it a go. I love it but I’m nearly out of it (and can’t afford to replace it).

Can anyone recommend a good alternative cleanser (preferably something with a similar/waxy texture rather than a creamy lotion). Under £20 for a decent sized product.

Thanks!

Body Shop Chamomile Cleansing Butter

I got some cleansing balm in Aldi the other day. It looks like one is a dupe of an Elemis one, and the other is a dupe of Emma Hardie's cleansing balm - which is the one I bought. It was £6.99. I haven't used it yet but it's worth a try at that price.

Second this. Cheap and excellent.

The inkey list oat cleansing balm is great for taking my make up off.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm - they have different sizes so ranges from £20-£70. I usually buy the 100ml version which is just under £50. It seems a lot but honestly it’s an investment, fabulous stuff and a pot will last me around 4 months as you need so little

I love the Clinique TTDO balm too

I'm really happy with this Boots one which is very similar

I love Boots No 7 they have loads of quality skin care and makeup

I find the Emma Hardie too thick but it does smell nice.

RudyKazoo · 17/12/2023 09:15

The No 7 one looks like the waxy kind of consistency I like in the TTDO, thanks @Mirrormeback

I’ve also had a few Body Shop bits I want to try but can’t justify ordering just yet, so I’ll add the chamomile one too, thanks @reallyworriedjobhunter and @DontBeAPrickDarren

Absolutely this

Mirrormeback · 17/12/2023 11:07

@RudyKazoo the Boots one is exactly the same consistency which I also really love and it emulsifies in the same way too when you add water

Farmacy Green Clean cleansing balm - BUT! Don't buy it at Space NK or anywhere like that, go on ebay and vinted and people are selling off full size ones they got in advent calendars and the like! This is how I try skincare I otherwise wouldn't spend the money on.

Someone else suggested Pond's cold cream - I also use Boots traditional skin cream to take make up off and that's super duper affordable.
