OverMyDeadBody · 14/03/2008 18:07

If you're not wearing a sports bra you're obviously not working out hard enough!

Shock absorbers are the best, I have some that look fine on their own too.

I'm only a b cup but feel the difference massively.

Iota · 14/03/2008 18:09

OMDB - you are very probably right - I only go in for light perspiration, not sweating like a pig

Iota · 14/03/2008 18:10

and Pilates doesn't even bring me out in light perspiration

OverMyDeadBody · 14/03/2008 18:13

I don't sweat iota, I glow!

A lot of the stuff I do doesn't bring me out in much perspiration either, unless it's a hot sunny day, still wear one though, or my norks get in the way!

I'm not a gym gal though, prefer real activity

CoteDAzur · 14/03/2008 18:13

OMDB - I also have a B cup but my top with in-built bra works just fine. FYI I do 1 hr cardio at heartbeat 170/minute, so yeah, I dare say I do work out "hard enough".

Then again, I don't run (problem knees) so breasts don't hoppity hop.

MrsMattie · 14/03/2008 18:15

True - I don't 'work out'. I walk, do yoga and pilates and swim. Spinning / Step/the gym = my idea of hell and damnation on earth.

donnie · 14/03/2008 18:19

I am only 34B but I wear a really tight shock absorber style top, sometimes with a bra underneath as well. They are so firmly weilded to my body that an explosion would not dislodge them! I see lots of very big breasted women in the gym with massive norks swinging from side to side and I wonder how the hell they can tolerate it.

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 14/03/2008 18:20

I run, ride & play tennis. Couldn't contemplate doing any of that without a decent sports bra.

I've used the old style Shock Absorbers (with straps that unhitch above boob) as pregnancy/maternity bras too.

Iota · 14/03/2008 18:21

My backside wobbles more than my norks

OverMyDeadBody · 14/03/2008 18:26

Cote I was only joking about people not working out hard enough, sorry if it came across as serious!

OMG people are watching me in the gym whilst I run to see if I have asport bra on!

Thank goddness I wear a crop bra that cements my small boobs to my rib cage

I just get glued to the tv screen and never notice what is happening around me

Novicecamper · 14/03/2008 18:53

But if I'm on the rower I'm sat down. THere is no opportunity for boobs to bounce when rowing!!

DforDiva · 14/03/2008 21:04

i got two shockabsorbers. i find them very comfy.
talking about gym, woman at my place all wear make up, and dont sweat at all.
they seems just like the idea of spenind a little time in the gym.

pukkapatch · 14/03/2008 22:24

i did a spinning class in a normal bra once, twas a nightmare. i was practically getting knocked in the face. had to grab them with my left hand, the instructor thought i was having a heart attack. very embarassing.
although, just normal gym stuff doesnt need a sports bra. just a properly fitting normal one is fine, as long as you dont run.
