How high are your heels? Looking for inspiration.

Just that, really. I've always worn flat shoes and I wear orthotic inserts because my arches are flat and it's painful to walk without them. I have what's known as 'flexible flat foot' where my arches disappear under weight-bearing, but reappear when not weight-bearing. So you're probably thinking "Well, you shouldn't wear heels if your feet are happy in flats." and you'd have a point. It's just that I really want to wear at least a mid-height heel. I am just curious as to what you ladies wear and am looking for some inspiration. I have a pair of black leather low heel ankle boots similar to these from Pavers. https://www.pavers.co.uk/products/leather-ankle-boots-futur36003-323-088?variant=40711636156501

Is a heel like that a good place to start?

I'm not really sure what you're asking - is it from a point of view of what might be comfortable for your feet, or for style? I'm not keen on those Pavers shoes for style if I'm honest. I have these, which I like with skinny jeans, but I'm looking at more of a sock boots to wear with wide leg trousers, maybe something like this

What's the rest of your wardrobe like? What do you want to wear them with?

I'm not really sure what I'm asking either 😂 I guess I just want to be more womanly while also not hurting my feet. I wear jeans and t-shirts currently. So just some nice mid-height heels to go with bootcut jeans. Those shoes you linked are nice, thank you.

I think mid height ‘neat’ boots can look a bit dated these days, flatter styles are more fashionable, or like pp linked to, very chunky so you get a bit of height that way.

Dune do a fab low heel size if that helps.

Have you tried Vionic? They do some good low/mid heels with arch support.

I have loads of shoes and boots! I really love them! I tend to wear shoes with a heel as I always have (when I went to work at 16/17 you had to wear heels in the office!) and wouldn't dream of not wearing heels socially - I'm 58 now. I guess my shoe heels vary from about 2.5" to about 5" in all types wedges, block, stilettoes, kitten, sandals. Obviously the thicker the heel the more support you have so the ankle boots you have shown have a block or Cuban heel I guess and you could easily have a higher heel with those or wedges or possibly platforms but personally I'm not keen on platforms. Wedges are OK - those are a good compromise if you want a feminine look and support for your feet.

Thank you, ladies! I'm going shoe shopping.

I live in flat boots or trainers, but have bought these for the rare occasion when I need something more elegant
I can't claim to be at the cutting edge of fashion though!
