Is this as superior to other over the counter products as it claims to be?

I don't know what it is but I can confidently say no it is not and is just a marketing ploy.

Yes, as above, it's a marketing term anyone can use. Are there worthwhile products among ZO skincare, sure, but comparable is available at lower prices and thresholds. The added value of it is access to prescription tretinoin (in some clinics) and custom advice (although the value of that is questionable as there's definitely a financial incentive to upsell to you).

How can you know?

Don't know a lot about ZO but wouldn't it have to be all on prescription to be all (products) classed as medical?

SoapCollector · 09/12/2023 18:44

Sorry, please ignore my comment! Just looked at the ZO website and even a cleanser is said to be a prescribed product.

moostermum · 09/12/2023 19:00

Yes I've used Zo. It's Obagi which is good and expensive. I used it for a few years and it reduced my pigmentation but I couldn't keep up with the price.

moostermum · 09/12/2023 19:02

Sorry to add, you have to buy from a salon and the retinol was £100 plus all the other creams. It was £400 every 3 months. Might have come down now.

well your confidence is misplaced .. hope you don’t get to make any important decisions based on this attitude
some of the range has to be prescribed by a GP due to nature of some of the ingredients .. so not the same as OTC products.. have used it several times and the prescribed products have transformed my skin in a way OTC ones cant
