Grey hair eyebrows - has anyone tried using a clove to add colour?

I'm completely grey haired and my eye brows have disappeared in my face as they are the same colour. I was watching a Lucy Worsley programme a while back where she said in the past they used cloves to colour their eyebrows, so tonight I gave it a go and actually think it looks ok! You light the bulb bit of the clove, wait for it to cool down and then use it as you would an eye brow pencil - but the effect is actually softer and a better match then a brown or black pencil would be. Has anyone else tried this?

I've just taken a selfie and I have eyebrows again! I would post it but don't know how to edit my face out.

As in a clove of garlic?

MadamVastra · 08/12/2023 00:42

Haha no but I bet you smell as nice as your brows look! Love a clovey smell especially at this time of year 😊

Interesting, I'd heard of charcoal for eye makeup and beetroot for lips and cheeks, but not this.

How long does it last?

Just get them dyed, quick, inexpensive and lasts around 6 weeks.

No. Obviously a clove, not of garlic 🙄

I haven't tried but intrigued. If you're avoiding chemicals, would henna work as an alternative? I wonder if the cloves would irritate eyes. I like it but when I bite into it my tongue tingles and slightly burns. I imagine it's easier to try in cold dry weather when the cloves don't risk running into your eyes.
