Just as the title asks, really!

I've spent 2023 taking some time back for myself, and I'm a much better person for it Grin young children/busy life was taking its toll, I'm sure many of us have been there.

Next year, I would like to do more for myself, mostly around my physical appearance. I need to lose some weight, get a beauty regime in place, sort some decent skin care and update my wardrobe.

I'm quite excited! But any tips from those of you who are well turned out would be very much appreciated Smile

I’m certainly not well turned out but physically pretty good ( apart from my teeth..but that’s another story!!) .. approx a year ago I volunteered myself to take out a gorgeous rescue dog, a lively lovely creature.
I took it up and as time was squeezed a bit I packed in a quite vigorous 45 min walk (luckily for me countryside) but that activity coupled with decent music ( ahem I feel I have s pretty cool Spotify playlist) . . Pretty quickly my legs and bum were really toned but Really really best of all was the mind boost ! ! So much a lift.. could have been a number of things , but definitely physical activity plus the music and fresh air
sounds quite ambitious but start with the simple things..as above
sleep, veges, half way decent moisturiser!
I am a walking wardrobe disaster but fun to experiment
start with yourself
you might be surprised but your new found confidence.. start ‘inside’ !

My Skincare is basic but effective

Am: I don't typically cleanse in the AM so I just apply a serum, eye cream and SPF 50. Serum is a vitamin C one usually and then I use NIOD Fractionated Eye Serum and SPF to top it off, if my skin feels dry I might use a bit of cerave PM lotion underneath.

PM I cleanse with cerave hydrating non foaming wash or Inky List balm, sometimes both if I need it. Them I apply the NIOD Fractionated Eye Serum and over that some cerave eye cream Then I apply my tretinoin 0.5 and top it off with a bit of cerave PM.

I do cosmetic dermal needling 2 or 3 times a week with very shallow needles purely to enhance product absorption.

Some nights instead of tretinoin I use Alpha H Liquid Gold Glycolic toner or if my skin happens to be dry I might just use some moisturiser with ceramides I tend to go with what I think my skin needs. Ditto for any issues I have so if I have any patches of discolouration I'll spot treat with a treatment just for that such as alpha arbutin.

I also do medical grade dermal needling in the winter so add in some copper peptides to my skincare to help boost the results I get from that.

I have the current body LED mask which I use between 3 and five times a week.

I also use a Nuface microcurrent device a few times a week and I do some facial massage and exercise.

It seems like a lot but it all only takes a few minutes a day.

I exercise doing a mix of cardio, strength training and yoga every week but I am pretty moderate about it.

I am a vegetarian and don't drink or smoke and never have I think this is probably the biggest boost to my appearance.

I do take supplements for my skin and my general health as well.

I try to drink at least 2 litres of water and get plenty of sleep and down time.
