Missoni poncho thing - hand wash?

It’s 100% viscose and says dry clean only. But since it’s a beach thing that’s somewhat impractical. Has anyone ever cold hand-washed such a thing?

I would. Very carefully, in cold water using baby shampoo if you don't have specialist gentle detergent. No rubbing and gently ease it back into shape.

You can definitely hand-wash it and dry it flat. Retailers slap "dry clean only" on anything as it is easier for them.I hand-wash my Hermes scarfs (silk ones and cashmere ones) and they all have "dry clean only".

I put it in the washer on a delicates wash. No shrinkage 😅

Had to do a lot of fringe untangling though! Will put it in a net bag next time.

I have that! A Missoni poncho with long tassels - kind of mustard coloured?? I hand washed mine, sandwiched in 2 towels and rolled it up to get worst of the water out and then dried it flat. Was fine - maybe a bit fluffier. I love mine.

I did the towel thing cos didn’t want to spin it.
