Are they as lovely as they look?

What are the sizes like? I've ordered a 7 which is a 40/41, but my feet are a 7.5/8 - they didn't have an 8.

With a lab you will fit right in! Chocolate is practically obligatory, I think .

I had 3-4 friends posted there over the last few years and used to visit quite often. The accommodation is not bad.

WelliesAndPyjamas · 14/03/2008 15:38

MamaG, really sorry your DH battered the dog

Flight - I've been wearing a pair of boring blue ladies' hunters for donkey's years and they are still going strong, and they get abused daily. Oh and I also have an extremely battered barbour... and soon will have a landy to match .

Ha ha you lot

Thanks for the tip Duchess - I shall await with interest...hoping they aren't massively too big now!

I might palm off the 7s on my mum, she is kind of stocky - I call it her German ancestry. Built like a Nibelungen horse. Or perhaps pony.

I saw a chocolate lab today and coveted him - admittedly for the colour scheme. He would go nicely in my sitting room

Ds is working on that but have held him at bay so far...

I fear the battle would be lost if we got dog involved

Our house and dog are colour co-ordinated....but that may be down to the amount of hair he sheds. The carpet is rhodesian ridgeback strawberry blonde at most times.

I naively thought that shorthaired dogs would not be bad.

Ooh talking of equestrian - do you rate their riding boots? I saw some for about £50, the black Hamilton ones - they look quite nice.

Oh but I saw them on ebay, it's a private auction but they're never worn.

I'm not sure about the style. I've always liked boots to have rounded toes, not so pointy as these, but I like the quality which is more important really.

Trying to work out if they'd suit me or not!

Your debs ones sound nice!

i have had mine for about 12 years, they look like new, maybe because i have used them about 10 times, dont like getting out of my 4x4 in them.

LL - a 110 with space for 9 bums!! Our family isn't that big though. We'll be using it for our business out here. It's modified to go everywhere apparently so DH is well excited at the prospect of disappearing up the mountains, making me a landy widow yet again! He'll be leaving me at home with a little blue Niva 4x4 though, which despite having no street cred whtsoever, does match my wellies beautifully.

OverMyDeadBody · 14/03/2008 18:35

I have green hunters, have had them for about 10 years now and they look fab! They stay at my parent's house in the ountry though as I have little use for them here!

DS has the lovely red ones too, and plenty of old green and black ones from when we where small that he'll soon fit into. The keep really well, definately worth the investment!

chocfest · 14/03/2008 18:44

green hunters are def the best. i replace about every 6 years, and wear them all the time throughout winter as im out with my dogs so much. Even wear them to the dentist lol!!!

chocfest · 14/03/2008 18:47

actually on reading the ebay post, i have also purchased them from there for the kids. 'original' hunter welly style (not huntress)and they say they are slightly blemished, but you couldnt tell where, i promise and only paid about 28 quid for them which is half the price of the shops.
