What to Wear at Home to Look Good

I need help mainly with the bottoms. I love the fitted top / t-shirt and joggers look.
But I have caught a sight of myself in my washed out black Nike joggers with saggy knees and thought that I look like someone who has given up. I am petite 45, I have time and budget and the figure to make the effort / wear anything, so why do I look so downtrodden at home?

Please share any wisdom - what would work for working from home and pottering round that is comfy, stylish and makes you feel like a woman…

Joggers are hard to pull off to be honest, jeans tend to be much more flattering and go with more tops.

I wfh, and like to be comfy, but stylish. At this time of year that means cashmere jumpers and good quality yoga pants/ joggers.

Have a look at Me and Em, they do luxe low key very well. For good quality, non baggy joggers try Sweaty Betty. I think white Company are overpriced but there are often discount codes and they do some nice 'at home' things. Also Cos, their cashmere is very good.

I have worked from home for about 20 years.

In winter I wear dresses with opaque tights and boots. In summer, dresses with white trainers or brogues.

Dresses are comfortable, easy to wear and look smart.

I have these in dark green (they come back into stock periodically) and love working from home in them - as comfortable as joggers but a lot more elegant and flattering. They come in various colours and actually look nicer in reality than on the website. If you like them, size down.

In a rich olive green, these corduroy trousers have a scalloped detail on the front pockets and a wide leg cut.

Do you mean you wear cuffed joggers??

I think that is hard to pull off, but good quality yoga trousers - either straight or a bit of a flare at the bottom should be fine, with a cashmere hoodie kind of thing.

I wear knitted lounge suits, flared or skinny trousers, with matching knitted top and long cardigan or gilet over.

I also wear the M & S jersey flared trousers with a vest and jersey cardigan.

I like all the thick fleece jackets around at the moment too, I'm going to get one.

Leather look high waisted leggings have been a game changer for me, from M&S of all places

As comfortable as any leggings but total ok to wear outdoors, waterproof and with a pair of heels really work for a more dressy evening.

Thank me later 😁
