A plain non mainstream designer, non high street timeless tote?

I'm looking for a timeless tote plain and classic that will age well.

Not your mainstream designer and not high street.

I have the Aspinal of London midi tote which I love but it’s too heavy. I love that particular style.

Looked at the Cambridge satchel company but too structured. It needs to be softer. Not Coach etc

A small company would be great, any ideas?

I'd love an aubergine/plum/burgundy colour.

Is Cochinelle too mainstream? I had a lovely classic tote from there that I accidently sent to the charity shop.

The DeMellier New York is fabulous.
