Skinny jeans and ankle boots: tuck or cuff?

Am off to the pub shortly. Wearing black coated skinnies (elder millennial, from my cold dead hands etc) and black chunky block heel ankle boots.

Due to me being short there is some excess length at the bottom of the jeans - do I tuck into boots or cuff jeans so they sit at the top of the boot? Can't decide which looks right 🤔

What do you do MNers?

Well I am older - last of the boomers. I cuff. So, that may make you decide to tuck 😂

APurpleSquirrel · 02/12/2023 18:34

I usually tuck into the boots

Gen X here. Skinnies have lost their appeal but I would definitely not tuck into ankle boots, I’d fold under or over or I’d cut them off for a raw hem.

We need pics. It depends on the boot, I think.

And how skinny the jean.

chattyness · 02/12/2023 18:37

I would tuck

Rosiiee · 02/12/2023 18:37

Millennial- cuff!

TheNinjaWife · 02/12/2023 18:39

I would cuff, but I’m old. The other day I saw a young woman with long socks pulled up over her skinny jeans. Can’t remember what she had on her feet. I think trainers. Otherwise looking trendy, so obviously a new fashion? Like socks and sandals in the summer!

Have cuffed and think? it looks good. Def better than tucked. No skin on show, the jeans just sit where the boot ends.

DP listening to me chuntering about chuffing and tucking and looking at me like I've lost my marbles.
