Lip lift surgery for downturned mouth?

Has anyone on here had a lip lift and if so, would you recommend it? I've got a really severely downturned mouth and I look utterly miserable all the time. Now that I'm in my mid-40s it's even more noticeable because I've got a bit jowly as well! I really hate the way it makes me look and the fact that I can't smile properly - it just looks like I'm grimacing.

I've seen before and after pictures of lip lifts and not been especially impressed. In most of them, the "before" wasn't even as bad as my situation, so I'm wondering if it would be worth the money. But even a very modest improvement would be better than nothing.

No, it's a surgical procedure where they take some skin from your upper lip and pull it across so that the lip is shorter. It lifts the corners of the mouth.

I struggle with this as well. No real advice except to a computer model done to get an idea of how it will look?

A friend had a thread lift which helped.

Bull horn lip lift? I'm obsessed with the things (I will never have cosmetic surgery). I think it's what the celebs have these days.

I saw one celeb who had clearly had the sides of her lips tweaked up. It looked kind of odd honestly in a fascinating way.

@megletthesecond it's called a corner lip lift, think it's different to the bullhorn one.

Oh, really? That's a worry... do I have to choose between looking miserable and looking like the Joker?

Yes it's all the rage instead of fillers apparently / I believe Botox is used so it only really lasts 2-3 months
