Does anyone use that BLINC mascara?

I am tempted to get some but don't want to spend the best part of 15 quid if it's crap.

Any feedback?

Yes, I bought some on the back of recent posters raving about it on cod's mascara test thread. I was v impressed and started a thread about it myself when it arrived.

No panda eyes, no clogging, no clumping, just long, defined lashes, curled up a bit, all v impressive, and easy to remove as well, with no sliding all over face.

i sent off for their trial size one . cost £1.50 free postage!
it arrived about a couple of hours ago and i have just tried it out.

maybe my eyelashes are thin anyway but after i had coated them in the blinc (and i did go over them a few times) i wasn't very impressed. they normally appear a bit thicker with other mascaras but not with this.

a while later i decided to try and put a bit more on but somehow managed to lose grip on the wand and get loads of it in my eye!!

so, i have just washed it off, put my other one on and binned the blinc one.

on the plus side i would say that i like the way my lashes stayed all flexible and didn't go caked and uncomfortable with it, so, maybe some one with fab lashes to begin with would do really well with this.

Bought some plus heated eyelash curlers, both waste of money imo. Eyelash curlers did nothing, I get a much better curl on normal ones and the mascara while great in terms of removal was deeply unimpressive on my eyelashes. However .... having read about Kanebo 38 degrees on some mascara thread here (can't work out how to do symbol on my Mac!) which also you remove with water, I would definitely recommend it. YOu can only buy it from Harrods - I ordered it online and it came very quickly. Hope that helps!!

i might try that then cloudberry. i also got a free no 7 mascara today. dream lashes i think it's called. slightly thicker lashes than with blinc but still crap
maybelline seemed to be about the best looks wise but dries on a bit hard

Thanks for the info, I think I'll try the trial size one first, £1.50 won't break the bank!

My lashes are pretty puny so it might not be up to the job. I normally use L'Oreal Voluminous which is good, but I'm always on the lookout for better!

I love Blinc, normally no matter what try by mid morning I have the panda effect, with blinc this does not happen. Also may be a bit odd but I really like the way it comes off and you can see the tubes. I find it satisfying hmm maybe more than bit odd!

Sidge · 13/04/2008 10:10

Just to update, I got my £1.50 mini sample and wasn't impressed.

Maybe my lashes are just too puny, but it did NOTHING for them, the mascara was very watery and didn't add any volume, and only a little length. Also it didn't separate or define them enough for me, I ended up with about 6 lashes...

I did like the staying power of it though, and the fact that it was totally water and smudge proof. Not enough to buy it though!

I bought this on the back of posts on here. It doesnt build up the volume of the lashes very much so if you want that its not brilliant. But my problem was always with the smudging and having my mascara below my eyes by lunchtime and for that it is Brilliant. No smudging, running, or moving at all. So I would rather have more puny eyelashes than permanent panda eyes. So it depends what you are after I suppose.

I love blinc.

The way to apply it is by coating the top lashes then bottom lashes, then the opposite lashes then go back to the original top, then bottom etc...

You need to make sure you get them all done within minutes and by doing so you can build up the lashes length and define them iykwim.

Whne you apply the mascara you also need to do it in a zig zag type motion, allows you to seperate the lashes to avoid ending up with 3 lashes.!

I also love the way its only removed in he shower and comes off in "tubes".
Not to confident to use it yet while swimming though...... Bit worried that they may not hold out...
