I recently took advantage of the BF discounts to try some new products and get some staples - here are my successful ones (and not so successful). In my defence, I don't buy any advent calendars so, haha, that evens out right?!

Great:
Glossier cloud paint in two colours, puff and beam - so easy to use and look natural.

Charlotte Tilbury magic cream - I tried a dupe a while back but the dupe was no comparison to the original, leaves my skin feeling hydrated and makes makeup look so much better when I put it on underneath.

Meh:

Glossier boy brow - nice product to use but I think that there are lots of cheaper alternatives that work just as well.

Fail:

Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow quad - pretty underwhelming

Charlotte Tilbury skin kissed glow bronzer - looks green on my skin! Don't know why I didn't spot this in the shop. Hard to see how I'm going to use this one...

How about you?

For the past few years I’ve taken advantage of any big discount periods to re-buy Dr Barbara Sturm’s Darker Skin Tones Enzyme Cleanser. This year I started using the corresponding Foam Cleanser, so re-bought that as well.

I’m always interested when people scoff about others’ purchases and direct you to something ‘just as good, but much cheaper’. After decades of experimentation I can honestly say these are the two best cleansers I’ve ever used. And also decent value for money as they each last for ages.
