I feel like we might be in the minority and I don’t know anyone else who has bought one! I was seduced by value and variety…anyone care to join me? I’ve never done a high end one before!

Can’t wait to open mine today. Any good?

Loveandluck · 01/12/2023 12:32

I've opened the drawer but not the product, I can't decide whether to gift but the reviews look really good!

Dianalouise · 01/12/2023 12:56

Hurrah! Good to have you both on board :) I dived right in. I admit to being mildly disappointed when I opened the door…it looked a bit unattractive? The fragrance didn’t blow me away but I didn’t dislike it…I will wear it but it doesn’t bring me joy 😂

For the lurkers - what did you get?

Dianalouise · 01/12/2023 15:53

It is Escentric 01 30ml bottle retails at £55 a bottle. Not a brand I have heard of before!

Loveandluck · 01/12/2023 16:59

Its a unisex scent with Iso E Super, supposedly designed to work with the pheromones in your skin, a cult phenomenon, clean woody, slightly musky. 😀

Dianalouise · 01/12/2023 22:21

@Loveandluck that makes sense…I thought it was quite masculine…my DH really likes it 🤷🏻‍♀️
I thought I might have been sent the mens advent calendar by mistake at first!

Lovely Charlotte Tilbury lipstick this morning, very wearable, pleased with that 😊

Dianalouise · 02/12/2023 11:53

Agreed! It’s a definite hit for me today woohoo!

Walk of No Shame CT lipstick retails at £27 so £82 running tally.

I had two different bottles in advent calendars last year, hated both so gave them away at work

Dianalouise · 03/12/2023 09:02

I’ll definitely give todays offering a go…Sunday Reilly Good Genes glycolic acid treatment. 15 mls so not full size but still looks substantial and good for a trial…Will save it up for a time when I can use it all in one go over a period of a couple of weeks to get the benefit of continued use. I think the risk of all these nice shiny new products is using them all straight away so you can never really tell which ones are giving you the best benefit! I am attempting to be more disciplined this year 😂

30mls retails at £70 so give the size we will say £35 giving us a running tally of £117…which for day 3 is not bad going!

Very happy with Sunday Riley - I think it retails as a travel product. Also Bader cream today! I know that's everywhere but I do like it.

Dianalouise · 04/12/2023 22:11

Big fan of the Rich Cream…leaves my skin looking great. I know it’s an advent calendar favourite but I don’t mind!

I make that £70 for 15ml (which is extortionate so I won’t be buying it full price despite how much I love it sadly) and a running tally of £187….i wonder if we break even tomorrow?!

A bumper double offering today. First up Tan Luxe “The Water” self tan (100mls) I'm going to pass this on to a friend…am not a self tanner type. Also the Brazilian Bum Bum cream (25ml) as a bonus (I almost missed it!). I’ve seen this before and fancy trying it on my crepey arms! So one hit and one miss for me today (but the miss won’t go to waste).

Running tally is £17 for tanning water and £7 for bum bum cream…£211 total. I was maybe a bit optimistic about breaking even today 😂…maybe tomorrow!

I only make it 2 full size items so far though…we have been promised 25 full size out of 45 so looking forward to more double days to come!

Dianalouise · 05/12/2023 19:42

How the hell do you even open the Bum Bum cream 😂 <baffled>

OP posts:
Loveandluck · 06/12/2023 12:59

The bum bum cream is great, I've not tried to open it though. Today's offering of Rodial Vit C serum looks lovely, lord i could do with a 'brighter refreshed complexion' 😆full size too £80

Dianalouise · 06/12/2023 18:52

Omg I am a complete muppet…I got a day ahead of myself and opened 7 instead of 6 😂 I was reading your message @Loveandluck on the bus home thinking “hmmm…that’s not what I got this morning?” 😂

I won’t spoil the surprise for tomorrow but I was very pleased with it! Also think I will be delighted when I get back to number 6 tomorrow 😁

Rodial Vit C Serum at £80 brings running total to £291 so we break even in less than a week whoohoo! 🎉 Tally on full size is 3/25.

Im really pleased with this calendar so far. Still haven’t figured out how to open the bum bum cream though!

The BumBum cream is one of my favourite body moisturisers. I LOVE the scent, but I know it isn't for everyone. I've tried the Rodial Vitamin C serum before when I got it as a sample and it goes on like a dream. Had a feeling it would be pricey.

Dianalouise · 07/12/2023 06:24

It’s lovely hair day hurrah! <Well for me it was actually yesterday but never mind.> I enjoyed my Vit C Serum this morning 😁

I’m really looking forward to using both the Color WoW and the Larry David finishing cream. My hair has a frizzy mind of its own so anything to make it look better is a winner. The scrunchies are a nice touch. Will definitely use them.

50ml Colour WoW XL bombshell volumiser £6 plus 30ml Larry King “a social life for your hair” satin finishing cream retailing at £12 plus two Slip silk scrunchies (6 retail at £39 so £13 for two?). Brings running total to £322 and 4/25 full size!
