Clothes for women with long arms!

I’m average height (5’6) but have disproportionately long arms!

I really struggle to find tops and jumpers with long enough sleeves. Many of the high street places (M&S, next) are often 2 inches too short.

I’m in need of outdoorsy/hiking clothes too and it’s always a struggle

Does anyone else have this problem, and do you have favourite brands you can recommend I try?

I’m 6ft so have arms to suit. My jumpers are from next tall, long sleeve tops from next tall and gap tall hoodies from superdry men, running long sleeve tops men’s declathlon. Raincoats& Coats from Didrickson.

I’m 5’6 - 5’7 but with long arms and a long back. I’ve recently started buying tops from women’s tall ranges for the extra length and have found that the sleeve length is so much better.

for hiking stuff and rain gear look for dutch (america today) or swedish (diderik) brands.

sometimes tbh I try on men's sizes as theh tend to be longer in the arm.

Thank you guys

for anyone else reading this I’ve found Esprit can be fairly good.

I’ll go and google some Swedish brands!

Following with interest as I have arms like a gibbon.

The men's department for lots of things for me. Walking, hiking, warm jumpers, jackets, the lot!

For "good" wear I just use tops and blouses that have loose unbuttoned sleeves. They don't look too bad, and again since I am not a fashionista - anywhere will do as long as I get the size, sleeve type and colour I want.

Following. 5ft 6. Long arms and long body so jumpers never sit right. Sadly my legs are average length. I've given up and usually get m&s jumpers and have a diff colour layer under the bottom to give length.

As a person with short arms who has to push up all her sleeves, I sympathise!! I always find they are really wide at the end too, I obviously have thin wrists too.

Gibbon here. Açai activewear very good for the outdoors and long limbs!

KirstenBlest · 05/12/2023 21:51

You aren't really average size. The mean height for women in the UK is just under 5'4". I'm that height and some sleeves tend to be short on me.

StoneTheCrone · 05/12/2023 22:39

Another one who's 5' 6" with gibbon arms!

Rohan do very long arms (dont like their colours much though - very faded/dark).

Crew Clothing is good too. I second Swedish, German and Dutch clothing companies too.

I also buy from the menswear sometimes as I have broad shoulders. I can get away with a size small then!

May not be your style but I have just returned this really lovely blouse to hush as the arms were way too long!

Should have listened to other reviewers who said the same...
