Is there a red lipstick that won't make my teeth look yellow?

Loving the idea of a festive red lip for a couple of Christmas events / outfits but I struggle to brave wearing it as feel like it yellows my teeth .
Is it just me ?
Any recommendations?
I am brunette , quite pale and middle aged !
Will swerve it if I can't find something that I am confident with .

I ‘think’ more blue based are better than orange based to avoid yellow teeth but hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along soon!

Blue based! Ask at the makeup counter and they should be able to advise.

You need to find your colour. You get different 'tones' of red.

For me, if I get a blue-toned red nail polish, it makes my hands look like they belong to a corpse!

I wear an orange-toned red lipstick and it suits me but blue-toned is likely what you will need to counter the yellow.

Yeah, blue-toned is usually better for white teeth. Basically a cool red rather than a warm one.

Mac's Ruby Woo is good - I steer away from pinky reds because of the yellow teeth thing but this one suits me really well.

You'd be best knowing if you suit blue based or yellow based reds. If you suit orangey reds like me, then a blue based one like ruby woo will look not good.

The internet suggests that a blue red lipstick is the way to go.

Mac Russian red makes my teeth look super white !

This is a tricky one because while everyone is absolutely correct that a blue based red will be more flattering to your teeth, if you have warm toned skin then the blue based reds will also make you look like an extra from the walking dead (ask me how I know...). I have very pale but very warm toned skin (soft autumn) and muted brick reds work best for me. They do look better though if I've kept on top of the teeth whitening. Your best bet is to try a few and get a feel for what works. I like buying lipstick from Bobbi Brown because they offer free, no questions asked returns if a colour doesn't work for you.

I am not sure I can get to a store before my first party can anyone advise which of these you have recommended are blue toned so I can get a feel for whether they might be a good option.
I am I think a winter and probably not warm toned so does this mean the blue tone is the right type?
Love some of these colours so much but don't to want to buy something I can't wear.

If you're a winter then you're in luck as blue-toned reds should be good on you.

Dior 999 is my favourite.

Just coming back to update - I have ordered MAC Red based on AR try on / or was a really good price so fairly low risk - hope it works and it f it does I may be adding some of the other fabulous recommendations to my Christmas list if I can get to a dept store for a try on in real life!
