So I've been thinking of treating myself to Olaplex to help my poor hair which since 2020 has been repeatedly bleached, dyed back brunette and then bleached again.
My hair has been looking shite, no two ways about it. After much umming and ahhing in Sephora's black Friday deals, I plumped instead for Redken's Acidic Bonding Complex (the 5 min mask formula).
Now I can't speak for whether it's better that Olaplex as I've yet to try that, but my god, I can't believe the difference it has made to my hair. Immediately going on it feels amazing and I was even able to highlight my hair without it snapping off. It feels amazing and shiny and soft and my wave pattern looks much nicer. I posted recently about the length and thickness too and it just all looks so much better between the colour and the condition.
Just a PSA really, but if anyone has tried it I would be interested to hear if it compares to Olaplex or K18? Basically I've watched videos and they were considered the top 3 bond type products. I think there is another German branded one which is supposed to be good too.
