Do I want (need?) three Victoria Beckham eyeliners?

MarmaladeMaggie · 27/11/2023 12:16

It’s a very good discount indeed - three for £60.

At the same time - it’s a heck of a lot to spend on three eyeliners! 😁

Are they really as amazing as the reviews say they are?!

Oh bugger, I missed out on the 3 for £60.
Too busy faffing about.

Inkypinkee · 29/11/2023 09:03

Get the urban decay ones, last longer!

YouAreMyCentreWhenISpinAway · 29/11/2023 09:04

Thxs
TBH I'd rather look and test before I buy them as well. I always get things that don't suit me.

TrappedPotato · 29/11/2023 09:15

Those of you struggling to sharpen, try putting it in the freezer for around an hour beforehand.

@BusterGonad oh I know, and I'm not begrudging anyone else spending money on whatever that want (I own several designer handbags). I guess I was just reflecting on my changing spending habits.

Oh. Ha ha. Yes it's funny how you do get used to lower end male up quite quickly once you make the leap.

BusterGonad · 29/11/2023 10:15

Make not male.

What is the allergen? I don't use mascara now as my eyes were so sensitive.

I think (and I’m still not 100% sure) that it’s Phenoxyethanol. Which is in loads of mascaras, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and makeup generally, including skincare and facewashes. I think it’s a preservative. I’m still trying to work out if there are also other allergens causing me problems.

The VB mascara hasn’t irritated my eyes yet (four wears so far), and can be washed off with warm water. It’s a bit clumpy to apply.

FYI my eyes are pretty swollen and watery all the time (menopause plus MGD causing dry eyes) so finding anything that doesn’t make them worse is pretty amazing.

For anyone who's made a recent purchase of these, could you report back on what they are like? Keen to hear how you get on.

Rina66 · 29/11/2023 18:20

I've got the bronze one and it's a lovely colour, especially for Summer. They are very soft pencils, so no dragging and the smudger is great for blending out a harsh line into your lady line. I've ordered the Cocoa today and have put the Cinnamon and Smokey Quartz on my Christmas list 🤞🏻

Me. Very nice. Shipping was awful as they use evri and it got stuck in a wormhole somewhere.

NeedWineNow · 02/12/2023 09:33

@ChoupetteTheCat Do the Essence ones blend like the VB ones? If so they’ll be a good alternative to VB.

Housewife2010 · 02/12/2023 10:15

There are free gifts on the VB site for the next 4 days when you spend £100.

Thepetlover · 16/05/2024 15:49

I’ve just purchased two Victoria Beckham eye liners and applied one of them at 10.30 am. Very little of it left under my lashes 3 hours later. Disappointing.

RichTea90 · 16/05/2024 16:05

I have bought two pairs of VB eyeliners in the past 6 months and they are bloody BRILLIANT. I couldn’t go without them now. They have been the best beauty buy for me hands down. So worth it.
The best eyeliner I have ever used. Wouldn’t use any other eyeliner now tbh.

Wait, what?!

MarmaladeMaggie · 16/05/2024 16:10

I bought them in the end - crap. The tips all broke and crumbled even if I put the caps on perfectly, when I took the cap off next time the stick would have broken - so much product waste! Such a shame.

I bought one before too. And it was a lot. I prefer KIKO Milan, cheaper and better

MyRamone · 19/05/2024 12:28

They are the best eyeliners ever. I am quite cack handed and can create a decent smoky eye using them and the blender. If the tips broke you've been over-sharpening them.

Two of the three tips broke after one use!

I love VB eyeliner and think it's worth the money. Its brilliant.

However, make sure you untick the box adding in the sharpener. I bought the sharpener and it failed to work. I contacted customer services who said that probably the screw on the side needed tightening. I don't have a small enough screwdriver to do that, but they couldn't care less. Waste of money. Luckily the Charlotte Tilbury ones work on the VB eye pencils!

Bouledeneige · 20/05/2024 21:40

I agree the sharpener does not work. I've had 3 eye liners - blue, green and golden brown but as an older woman have some problems with them being so super soft that they can smudge onto my eyelids which are now more bulgy with age.

CinnamonJellyBeans · 17/11/2024 12:01

There's a good offer until end of the day tomorrow: Free eyewear (roll up eyeshadow crayon) with EVERY purchase in oyster or bottle green.

The great thing is that this offer can be used on multiple orders, so I've made three separate orders:

  1. eyeliner + free eyeshadow = £37 (didn't hit the free P&P £40 threshold)
  2. eyeliner + free eyeshadow = £37
  3. highlighter stick + free eyeshadow £40

So that's 6 stocking fillers for £114, which I'm pretty happy about.

DoubleShotEspresso · 17/11/2024 12:04

No they don't sharoen well and you will regret it.
Kiko and Urban decay are just as good.
A close second are maybelline twist up sticks which stay put and are beautifully blendable

CanteringAlong · 27/12/2024 19:33

I bought a Kajal eyeliner and it was the best eye liner I have ever used BUT I had an allergic reaction to it. I emailed them and they gave me a refund very promptly. I have sensitive eyes and am quite allergic though. Shame.

Nitgel · 27/12/2024 19:39

I use the bronze eyeliner it's great and lasts. As said up top the Barry m sharpener works with it.
