How do I keep my hair neat and tidy?

Whether I put my hair up or leave it down it usually ends up quite frizzy which just looks really ungroomed and untidy.
What should I be using to stop the frizz? Hairspray? Gel? Something else? Would love to look more put together and smart but end up.lookinh messy.

Hair Serum;
Leave-in Conditioner Spray;
Detangling Brush & Finger Combing;
If long, then brush smooth, twist & wear up in bed, to prep it for the next day;
