What colour tights with long denim skirt and tan boots?

I have resurrected my 'Y2K' long denim skirt, it's battered and faded but I love it. I'm planning to wear it with tan heeled boots.

The split is at the back, so my tights will only be glimpsed a wee bit from the back, and not visible from the front.

I take it tan nylons are out of the question? Black opaques feel a bit heavy against the mid tan of my boots, and I haven't found a pair that don't choke my tummy and give me gas pains.

The skirt is effectively light blue. Bare legs absolute no go. Any thoughts?

I'm really struggling to visualise how the skirt and boots could possibly work together before you add tights to the mix.

I'd go with block colour tights like maybe pale pink but it depends on your top and your overall aesthetic (hairstyle etc) as to what would work. This is a tough combo but I try and match tights to my top or cardigan if possible (or maybe skin-toned in this case, just not ones that make your legs inexplicably orange, it depends on your skin tone).

Imagine faded jeans worn with tan leather boots, to me that's a classic pairing but I'm a cowgirl at heart.

I'd just go with nude. They will barely be seen as you have said and the look of bare leg will be better than introducing another colour/texture. With boots, skirt and whatever is going on up top you want to think about colour and texture overload.
