What shoes should I wear with this dress?

It's for a Christmas do. Most people will have come straight from work so won't be overly dressed up, but they are a creative bunch and usually nicely dressed anyway - they don't feel they have to stick to standard office wear for work.

I will be on my feet for hours so I don't want very high heels. A smaller / solid heal would be good. Or flat would be great. Could I get away with a boot? (I feel a bit clueless here!)

Any tips on accessories also gratefully received!

I tend to go with how they style things on the website but probably patent loafers for me

Those Fly ones are ace! Would they be too high for you though? You mentioned not wanting very high. I’m not a good judge of heels though as I don’t own a single pair! The dress is gorgeous, btw

I have bought too-high heels for work events several times over the years as I liked the way they looked, then massively regretted it on the night.

These possibly fall into that category!

I like the second Dune pair a lot, but suspect they would divide opinion. I also rather like these very 80s style suede ones from Clarks, maybe with sheer-ish black tights (polka dots?) or 30 denier opaques, not too heavy.

I don't like the Fly boots, sorry.

Lovely dress! I like the Monsoon boots. I don't know much but think you could get away with a lower heel boot in a similar style if you can find one.

@yetanotherdaytoday I personally would go for the dune boots, much nicer and you can wear them loads ! Add some sheer tights, a sparkly clutch and sparkly eye make up and you'll look fab !!

Ok, I've stopped dithering and gone for the Dune ones, thanks for the push @losingthe!

Lucky I didn't hang around any longer as it was the last pair in my size (at John Lewis, anyway).

I've also got these petrol blue ones coming from Vinted.

I expect I'll wear the Dune ones as they'll look smarter, but I these ones are Fly London, which I love, and they were a bargain!
