I'd be looking for colour, so here:

Engagement ring I'd now go for a large sapphire with diamonds either side.

I have a diamond solitaire ring, very classic but I'd go for the sapphire now.

Wedding ring, I'd choose what I chose at the time. A diamond eternity band.

TicTacNicNak · 25/11/2023 20:19

I had a boring plain gold band. If I did it again I'd go for something like this...

I wouldn't change mine because it's beautiful, unique and was made just for me.

But...This is my dream ring from my favorite jewellery designer.

Lampzade · 25/11/2023 20:31

I would get an emerald surrounded by diamonds for an engagement ring

SkyFullofStars1975 · 25/11/2023 20:39

I did replace mine, as the solitaire fell out of mine - I was broken hearted and my wedding ring was shaped to fit around so looked ridiculous on its own. DH was very generous as the insurance replacement was shit, so he got me a new engagement ring and wedding band for our 30th anniversary.

I went uber traditional with a 5 diamond engagement ring and a beaded wedding band. I did try a ruby in the shop as I fancied a change but knew I'd get bored of it.

I would always choose mine. It’s stunning Sheila Fleet

I think that's a really beautiful ring.

sunsmachinery · 25/11/2023 21:28

All so beautiful thank you ☺️ love the rough diamonds in particular. Coming up to our 20th wedding anniversary! Married very young and would choose differently now. The white gold I have has worn away to an odd gold/not quite gold colour if that makes sense..
love Alighieri but not sure if they’re more ‘fashion’ iyswim

I love mine. Early 1910s, vintage sapphire with diamonds either side and embedded pave diamonds in the shoulders, platinum. I love that it has had a love story before me 🥰

My wedding ring is a diamond embedded wishbone that cradles my engagement ring perfectly 👌

KCSIE · 25/11/2023 21:36

Gorgeous! 🥰

MerryMissie · 25/11/2023 21:44

I love my ring

I was 21 when I got engaged we choose a 3 diamond gold ring just under 1 ct

The wedding ring with diamonds and on 10yeat wedding anniversary a vintage sapphire and diamond eternity ring

We started out with nothing when I was 21 and dh 24 and now we have so much my rings are a symbol of how far we have come and I would not change them for the world

Oh, I just love those Aardvark rings from the first reply 💗

Think I'd go for a sapphire eternity ring, as a combined engagement and wedding band.

GoldDuster · 25/11/2023 21:47

Something from Polly Wales or Farringdons in Hatton Garden always have beautiful antique rings on the go.

I wouldn't change mine. It means too much. Why would you?

Zuma76 · 25/11/2023 22:29

I’d go to alexis dove. She finds really unusual gems. You can choose the gems and the. She creates the ring.

Tempnamechng · 25/11/2023 22:33

A stone has fallen out of mine. It's lovely but looks a bit lost, so instead of a repair I'm going to have it rebuilt using the existing stones as well as some larger vintage diamonds.

Kwer · 25/11/2023 22:40

When I chose mine I really wanted a marquise cut diamond, or several diamonds in a flower shape, but I lost confidence in my taste and picked the classic single princess stone everyone gets. It’s ok.

My friend has a gold band with gold leaves curling round diamonds, I’m wildly jealous of it. It’s a bit like this

I would go vintage. Art Deco, emerald cut.

I never liked my original rings so for our 25th anniversary I finally chose the ring of my dreams. It’s completely unconventional but I absolutely love it.

One of the Raindance rings by Boodles.

We went to the Liverpool branch on the day and they spoilt us rotten. I felt like a Princess!
