Chat at work the other day. What a giggle.
Do you have different classification of bras?
Comfy bras
Old favourites
Bedroom bras
Bra for thin straps
The good bra for nights out

Anymore?

Breastfeeding bras
it doesn’t matter if the silhouette isn’t very good bras

Laiste · 25/11/2023 16:35

I think you've pretty much covered it OP. I have all those bras too 😄

Knickers though -

Period knickers (big enough for pads) wear them for night time and sitting about feeling sorry for myslef and eating chocolate.
Basic knicks.
Nice ones with matching bra - meal out/night out type thing.
Sexy itchy up your arse ones which aren't on long 😉 (thank god!)

Precipice · 25/11/2023 16:39

I only have one type of bra. It's the "I notice this as little as possible" bra. I feel much more comfortable without a bra and take it off as soon as I get home.

ErrolTheDragon · 25/11/2023 16:41

You've missed the 'keep everything firmly in place while exercising' bra.

Ponderingwindow · 25/11/2023 16:42

Totally normal.

PiggieWig · 25/11/2023 16:44

Sports bras. Super tight for spin class and running and slightly shapelier for weights and Pilates.

Oldraver · 25/11/2023 17:19

Ooh yes

I have work bras, comfy stretchy don't give a fuck about silhouette just protecting colleagues

A couple of oomph bras

A couple of Shock Absorber non wired approximates a decent shape

For pants I have work Oddball trunks, not gonna chafe as no elastic on knocker line

Non work Step one long trunk ones

Bed time baggy pants

Same for socks

Babysharkdoodoodood · 25/11/2023 18:04

Post -surgery/ masectomy bras unfortunately.

Luckily M&S have brought out clip on pockets so I can now wear any non wired bra.

GingerLiberalFeminist · 25/11/2023 18:06

My undergarments as follows;

Daily bras
Bras for under tight dresses/going out bras
Sexy bras
Sports bras
Sleep bras (my DH keeps trying to lose these but they stop my boobs aching)

Daily knickers (plain cotton thongs)
On-my-period knickers (normal knickers)
Sexy knickers
Solitary pair of white knickers (wore under my wedding dress and now they reside in my drawer looking stark against the sea of black 😁

Vests
Summer (satin cami) vests
Winter vests
Comfortable vests
Slips for under dresses

Previously: nursing bras, nursing sports bras

TheOGCCL · 25/11/2023 18:10

Ha no I wear the same bras for all occasions (either Panache Tango or Panache Envy) and keep them on as long as possible as I love the support. I have recently started experimenting with a sleep bra.

MaliciaKeys · 25/11/2023 18:17

I wear comfy bras for work (I'm a nurse), pretty bras for nights out and sports bras for exercise.

BeenRoundThatBlock · 25/11/2023 18:25

I used to. But recently I found the best brand/style/shape, bought it in four colours with duplicates, and chucked out all the 'nearly but always something off' bras that no longer had a place.

Obviously I kept all the 'bras you wear to bed' for 15 minutes Wink

burnoutbabe · 25/11/2023 18:26

@GingerLiberalFeminist i am with you on the very few pairs of bright white pants that come in a pack of 5 and i am never going to wear.

why do they throw in that white pair!!

weepat · 25/11/2023 22:27

Loving all the comments.
I am more normal than I realised.
May have to invest in a sleep bra.
The girls headed south years ago, possibly to late to save the sag though!!

As long as it's matching with minimal VPL I'm happy. I can't leave the house unless it is a proper matching set.

Why wouldn't you?

I mean, I can see that some people wouldn't bother searching them out, but having got a pair in white can't they just be plucked from the drawer in turn?

Is there something that repulses you about white pants?

WandaWonder · 25/11/2023 23:10

I have older and newer if that counts

Pashazade · 25/11/2023 23:14

I also have bras for wearing under Bellydance costumes which are never worn for anything else, as well as one scary ass proper costume bra which is a torture device in itself, and does scare the horses a bit once everything is strapped in 😁

Aparecium · 25/11/2023 23:16

Yup, totally normal. Ditto the knickers.

Before I had dc I also had any-day-now bras for the last few days before my period, when I needed extra support, no underwires, no squishing and no movement.

Holidayhell22 · 25/11/2023 23:23

I no longer do this.
Now I only buy nude, white or black knickers. I buy plain ones from M&S that I can wear under anything.
I find bras uncomfortable and wish I was lucky enough to be able to go bra less. Again I only buy white, black or nude. I have separate sports bras. The rest I just wear whatever depended on the colour of my clothes.
Ive stopped buying knickers which ride up my arse or itch.
