Should I buy this skirt?

I tried this skirt on in Arket yesterday.

I absolutely love it, which is rare for me, so I'd like to buy it, but I'm stumped with what to wear with it.

Its quite a tricky colour and because of the texture I think the top needs to be quite plain, but I'd like it to look like an outfit rather than I've just put a random jumper and skirt together! They've put it with a matching jumper (2nd pic) but its just too much.

(I have form for buying things I love that I then can't figure out how to wear )

I wouldn't. I can't think of anything that would look good with it and presumably that's why they've made it as a co-ord.

It also doesn't look overly practical for winter but couldn't really be worn in the summer either because of the fabric and it occupies that odd space where it's not casual enough for most day to day outfits, isn't formal enough for evening and I wouldn't (personally) wear it to work.

I'd look for a satin skirt in the same cut and colour, so much more versatile and would give the same silhouette.

Brilliant name @dontgobaconmyheart
To be honest these were all the reservations I had but was hoping someone would come up with something I hadn't thought of.

I'm quite hippy and look chunky in a satin skirt, and fuzzy texture of this hid a multitude of sins!

But I've just sold a lot of really nice things on ebay I've never worn because ive bought in impractical colours etc so I neef to stop doing this!

I wouldn't buy it because it's not really my style of skirt but I'm completely puzzled by the suggestion it's "not casual enough for most day to day outfits,". It's not in the least bit "out there". It could hardly be a more day to day, everyday outfit if it tried.

It's far more every day than a satin skirt, most of which fail as everyday and ,personally, I think fail to work as dressed up as well.

If it were my style I'd wear it to work. On top I would suggest the loose style of jumper they've paired it with but in black or another contrast colour but not the black jumper in the same colour

I like it op, I’d wear that with a fitted top, mainly a black fine knit jumper or chunky one, or a dark brown or purple one. A white blouse tied at the waist would also work, but not my thing.

its the sort of thing you can wear with trainers, heels or boots, and dress up or down. Work or out for dinner. But it’s autumn/winter.

I don’t get the first posters comment of buying satin. I’ve four satin skirts, doesn’t mean I can’t have other textures. Odd response.

It's interesting you've come up with almost the opposite of my "on top" suggestions, which means one or other or both of us is wrong or that it's quite a versatile skirt. (I think it's the latter)
